LASER CUT HOUSE
NUMBERS & FENCE SIGNS
Custom laser cut house numbers, address plates and fence signs, cut from solid corten steel, mild steel or marine grade 316 stainless steel. Every sign is designed to your brief and cut on our fibre laser in Rutherford, in the Hunter Valley, then delivered anywhere in Australia or New Zealand.
Whether it's a modern street number for a new build, a rustic corten sign for the front fence, or a name plate for a farm gate, we draw it up, send you a proof, and cut it once you're happy.

WHAT WE MAKE:
-
House and street number signs
-
Address plates with street name and number
-
Fence, gate and letterbox signs
-
Property, farm and driveway entrance signs
-
Family name and house name plates
-
Business and shopfront signage in the same materials
Numbers, letters, logos and decorative motifs are cut right through the plate, so the design shows in silhouette against the wall or fence behind it. We can also cut individual freestanding numbers and letters.

CORTEN STEEL HOUSE
NUMBERS & SIGNS
Corten is a weathering steel. It arrives as plain grey steel and, once it is outdoors, forms its own rust coloured layer called a patina. That patina shields the steel underneath, so corten doesn't need painting and keeps its warm orange to deep brown colour for years.
The colour starts to change within a few weeks outdoors. It deepens over the following months, and every sign weathers a little differently. Corten matures best with regular wet and dry cycles, so it suits open, well drained spots rather than places that stay damp.
While the patina forms, rain can wash rust coloured runoff onto whatever sits below. Keep corten off light render, concrete and pavers, or mount it on standoffs, to avoid staining. Within sight of the surf, salt keeps the patina active for longer, so we usually recommend 316 stainless for beachfront homes.
MILD STEEL SIGNS:
NATURAL OR POWDER COATED
Mild steel is the most economical choice and gives clean, crisp edges. Left natural, it rusts for a raw industrial look, but unlike corten that rust doesn't stop. A natural finish suits sheltered spots or a sign you are happy to see age.
For a long lasting outdoor sign, we recommend powder coating. A powder coated finish seals the steel in a durable colour, such as matt black, white or a colour matched to your home.
316 #4 STAINLESS STEEL:
HOUSE NUMBERS & SIGNS
316 is marine grade stainless steel, with added molybdenum for stronger resistance to salt and moisture. It's our pick for coastal homes, pool areas and anywhere you want a clean, modern finish that won't rust.
We supply 316 in a #4 brushed finish, or powder coated in your choice of colour. Near the coast, rinse it with fresh water every few months to keep it free of light brown tea staining.
