Laser engraved anodised aluminium gives crisp, bright silver-white marking on a black or coloured plate. It's light, sharp to read and quick to make, which is why it's a favourite for control plates, certification plates, tags and name plates.
The laser removes the anodised layer to reveal bright aluminium underneath, so the marking is sharp and high contrast without any paint. Aluminium is about a third of the weight of steel and won't rust, which suits vehicles, mobile plant and portable equipment.
Aluminium or stainless?
For most indoor and vehicle-mounted plates, anodised aluminium is lighter and gives the best contrast. For chemicals, salt air, heavy wear or high heat, 316 stainless steel lasts longer. Not sure? Tell us where the plate is going and we'll recommend one.

Questions we often get
What colours of anodised aluminium are available?
Black is by far the most popular because it gives the strongest contrast. Other anodised colours are available depending on stock; ask us for what's on hand.
Can you engrave aluminium in bulk with serial numbers?
Yes. Send a spreadsheet and each plate or tag is engraved with its own number, date or QR code.
How long does aluminium engraving take?
Most anodised aluminium jobs are made within 24 hours of proof approval.
Do you deliver Australia-wide?
Yes. We're based in Rutherford, NSW, and express post to every state and territory, including regional areas, as well as New Zealand. Local customers are welcome to pick up from our showroom.
