When a plate or tag really has to last, stainless steel is the answer. We fibre laser cut and engrave 316 marine grade stainless steel to nearly any size and shape, from small ID tags to 1200 x 900mm control panels, and most jobs are made within 24 hours.
Tags are one of our most common stainless jobs: valve tags, cable tags, asset tags, lock tags and equipment ID tags. Each one can carry its own number, barcode or QR code, with holes for ties, wire or rivets. We usually make them from 1.5mm 316 stainless so they stay flat and rigid.
Why laser engraving beats rotary on steel
A fibre laser can mark far more complex diagrams, logos and even photos than a rotary cutter, at a lower price for most jobs. Because the laser alters the surface of the metal rather than adding ink, the marking won't peel, fade or wash off.

Questions we often get
What thickness of stainless steel do you engrave and cut?
We engrave and fibre laser cut a wide range of thicknesses. 1.5mm 316 stainless with a #4 brushed finish is the most common for labels and plates. Send your specs and we'll recommend the right material.
Do you make custom shaped plates?
Yes. Our fibre laser cuts stainless steel and other metals to nearly any shape, with holes, slots and cut outs, at up to 1200 x 900mm.
Can the engraving be coloured?
Yes. Engraving can be paint filled in a range of colours, though plain laser annealed black is the most durable outdoors.
Do you deliver Australia-wide?
Yes. We're based in Rutherford, NSW, and express post to every state and territory, including regional areas, as well as New Zealand. Local customers are welcome to pick up from our showroom.
